Mia and Maryam are six-year-old twins diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta type 3, also known as brittle bone disease. Their family estimates that each girl has experienced around 100 fractures.

Because of their small size, Mia and Maryam are often mistaken for babies. They want others to know that they are big girls with their own distinct personalities. The twins are also best friends and grateful to have someone who understands their experiences. Being together and knowing someone else is “like me” helps them feel less alone.
